The Committee on Science and Education upholds the Bill of the Law on Amendments to the Law "On Local Self-Governing in Ukraine" (re the Harmonization with the current Legislation in the Part of Nomination and Dismissal of the Chairmen of the Educational Institutions)

According to the current laws, the local councils are authorized in the personnel matters concerning Chairmen of the Educational Institutions. It contradicts with the article 20 of the Law "On Education", article 26 of the Law "On Compulsory Secondary Education", article 19 of the Law "On Pre-School Education" and article 23 of the Law "On Extra-School Education".
